Educational qualification :
• Candidate should have Master’s degree in Physics or Mathematics from a reputed institute plus at least one research publication in an indexed journal. Knowledge of network/graph theory and programming languages such as Python and C++ is essential. Master’s students who are in the final year and are expected to complete their course before 01 August 2021 can apply for this position provided they already fulfil other minimum qualifications.
DESIRABLE:
• Specific requirements for the position : The selected candidate will work with the head of the partner group (Dr. Areejit Samal) on a project funded by the Max Planck Society and to be carried out in close collaboration with researchers at the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences, Leipzig, Germany. A major goal of this project is to analyse large and complex biological networks, and we are looking for candidates with a track record of published research in network science. Knowledge of network theory and programming in Python or C++ is essential. Prior research experience with handling of biological datasets is desirable.
