Eligibility Criteria:

Age Limit: Minimum 18 Years and maximum 22 years. Candidates should be born between 01 May 2002 to 30 Apr 2006 (both dates inclusive) applying for post of Navik (DB), Navik (GD) and Yantrik. Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC (non-creamy) candidates is applicable only if, posts are reserved for them.

Educational Qualifications:

Navik (General Duty) – Class 10th passed from an education board recognized by Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).

Navik (Domestic Branch) – 10+2 passed with Maths and Physics from an education board recognized by Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).

Yantrik (Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics) – Class 10th passed from an education board recognized by Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE) and Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical / Electronics/ Telecommunication (Radio/Power) Engineering of duration 03 or 04 years approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). OR Class 10th & Class 12th passed from an education board recognized by Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE) “AND” Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical / Electronics/ Telecommunication (Radio/Power) Engineering of duration 02 or 03 years approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).

List of equivalent diploma for recruitment in Yantrik cadre in Electrical, Mechanical and Electronics & Telecommunication (Radio/Power) Engineering (Engg) branch as mentioned below :

Salary and Benefits: Selected candidates will be entitled to a starting basic pay of Rs. 21,700/- (Pay Level-3) along with allowances and other benefits as per the rules and regulations of the Indian Coast Guard.

1. Navik (General Duty) – Basic pay of Rs. 21700/- (Pay Level-3) plus Dearness Allowance and other allowances based on nature of duty/place of posting as per the prevailing regulations.
2. Navik (Domestic Branch) – Basic Pay of Rs. 21700/- (Pay Level-3) plus Dearness Allowance and other allowances based on nature of duty/place of posting as per the prevailing regulation.
3. Yantrik (Mechanica, Electrical l, Electronics) – Basic pay Rs. 29200/- (Pay Level-5). In addition, you will be paid Yantrik pay @ Rs. 6200/- plus Dearness Allowance and other allowances based on nature of duty/place of posting as per the prevailing regulation

Selection Process: The selection process for Navik (GD & DB) and Yantrik posts includes the following stages:

Stage- I (Computer Based Examination)

Stage-II (Assessment/Adaptability Test, Physical Fitness Test, Document Verification & Initial Medicals Examination)

Stage-III Final Merit List (Document Verification, Final Medicals at INS Chilka & Submission of Original Documents, Police Verification and Other Associated Forms)

Written Examination: The first stage consists of a written examination that assesses the candidate’s knowledge in subjects related to their respective posts.

Physical Fitness Test (PFT): Candidates who qualify in the written examination will undergo a PFT that includes a 1.6 km run, 20 squats, and 10 push-ups.

Medical Examination: Only those who clear the PFT will be called for a thorough medical examination to ensure they meet the required medical standards.

Document Verification: Successful candidates will be required to produce original documents/certificates during document verification.

Final Selection: The final selection will be based on merit and the number of vacancies available.
