The much awaited JKSSB Recruitment 2016 has been announced and applications are invited for various posts under District Cadre, Divisional Cadre and State cadre. The total No. of posts that have been advertised is 1184. As, this JKSSB Recruitment is being announced, after a span 6 months and is all sure to get viral among Job seekers, looking for Government Jobs in J&K.
It is worth mentioning here that Out of 1184 Jobs, 68 Posts are advertised for State Cadre, 94 vacancies for Jammu Division, 92 Posts for Kashmir Division and remaining 930 are District Cadre posts. The District wise break up of these posts is given in this post itself.
This is the first JKSSB Recruitment Notification of 2016 and posts have been advertised viaNotification No. 1 of 2016 Dated 01-06-2016.
As per the Notification, the Online Registrations will start from 6th June, 2016 and the last date to submit the online application is 21st June, 2016. An application fee of Rs 350/- is to be charged for every post and that is to be paid through the system generated challan form in any branch of J&K Bank.
Applicants must note that, these posts are filled under the J&K New Recruitment Policy, 2015 rules, that states Appointees shall be entitled to minimum of Pay-Scale along with the Grade pay. It is only after the 5 years of service, that the appointee is entitled to Full Pay along with allowances. However the seniority of employees, will confer from the date of appointment.

It is worth mentioning here that Official Notification is yet to be uploaded on the Official website of JKSSB. This Advt is published in the the local newspaper of J&K Dated: 5th June, 2016.
Most of the posts that have been advertised are in the Education and Health & Medical Education Department only.
There is literally No Vacancies for General Category people and all the vacancies are for reserved categories only. Applicants must note that these are not fresh vacancies, but backlog vacancies, that remained un filled during the previous JKSSB Advertisements.

Eligibility Criteria for JKSSB Recruitment 2016 :-
Education Qualification :
Junior Assistant : Candidate should have done Graduation from recognized University with the Knowledge of type writing having not less than 35 words speed per minutes. Candidate should have also done six month Certificate Course in Computer Application from recognized Institute.
Physical Education Teacher : Candidate should have completed Matriculation (10th) and Certificate Course in Physical Education.
Junior Pharmacist : Candidate should have 10+2 with Diploma in Medical Assistant/ Pharmacists from recognized Institute.
Age limit : Candidate minimum age should be 18 years and maximum age should be 40 years for Open Merit.
- SC/ ST/ OSC Category : Candidate age should be in between 18 years to 43 years.
- Physically Challenged : Candidate age should be in between 18 years to 42 years.
- Ex-servicemen : Candidate age should be in between 18 years to 48 years.
Application Fee : Candidate should have deposit fee of Rs 350/- in any Branch of Jammu & Kashmir Bank in the account number specified & printed on the payment e-challan only.
Selection Process : Candidate will be selected for JKSSSB Jobs on the basis of Written Test/ Interview.
