MEGHALAYA POLICE RECRUITMENT 2016 NOTIFICATION:
The Office of the Additional Director General of Police and chairman Central Recruitment Board has invited application from Candidates who are Indian Citizen and Domiciled in the state of Meghalaya. The Aspirants who wanted to be Police Officers can grab hold of this Opportunity under 5 Categories of 1705 Vacancies such as Constable, UB Sub Inspector, AB SI, Fireman Constable, IRBN Constable, Followers of EDP vacancies,Etc. The applications will be invited effect from 1st June 2016 onwards.
MEGHALAYA POLICE :
It is a law enforcement agency for the state of Meghalaya in India. It was earlier part of the Assam Police until 1972 when the separate State of Meghalaya was created. It is a constituted body of persons empowered by the state to enforce the law, protect property, and limit civil disorder. The Main Aim of Meghalaya Police is to prevent the Public . ELIGIBLE CRITERIA :
The Application are invited only through Offline Mode which means, Aspirants has to send their application through office of all district superintendent of police and commandants of MLP Battalions and Principal, PTS Mawroh, Shillong by paying Rs. 150/-. with Extra charges of Rs.30/- (Rs.20/- for filling application form and Rs.10/- for exam registration)
- Only Indian Citizen domiciled in Meghalaya are eligible to apply
- Candidates must know to speak,read and write atleast one of the regional Language.
- Candidates should not be less than 21 years and not more than 27 years as on 01.01.2016 with relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST
- There is no Relaxation of 5 years of height for SC.
- Height Specification are given
All Except ST & other Tribes: Male- 162 cms, Female-157 cms .
ST & other Tribes: Male- 157 cms, Female – 152 cms

UB Sub Inspector – 100 Nos.
AB Sub Inspector – 25 Nos
UB Group – 631 Nos.
AB Group – 929 Nos.
Follower Group – 20 Nos.
Total – 1705 Vacancies
PAY SCALE :
Pay Scale for UB Sub- Inspector is Rs.14100-27510/- ,
Pay Scale for Constable, Firemen, Driver firemen, MPRO Operators/ Signal Operators, WPC is Rs. 8300-16270/-,
Pay Scale for AB Sub-Inspector is Rs. 14100-27510/-
Pay scale for Follower of DEF/ state Battalions including IRBN group is Rs. 6500-12700/-
SELECTION PROCESS :
The Selection Process consists of 3 Levels such as PMT, Physical Efficiency Test( PET), Written Examination and Interview.
The Temporary admit card will be given on spot while application for the post. That is said to be important and it should be carried along at the time of PMT ( Physical Measurement Test). Candidates will be rejected if specific height is not met with the criteria. After PMT, The candidates must carry the Temporary Admit Card for the next round of Interview i.e. PET., whereas biometric features of candidates will be captured and successful candidates are sent to PET( Running Race)
The PET Running Race for Male Candidates are 5Km in 24mins and for Female Candidates are 3Km in 19 mins. If the candidates failed to achieve the below mentioned criteria of PET are rejected for subsequent Recruitment Process. So this PET is very much important & candidates are asked to be stay fit and consult doctor before applying. The PET and Interview Test marks for all category are given in official notification.
Written Exam:
The Written Exam details will be mentioned in Official Website later mostly after PET. After Written Exam, Medical & trade Test will be conducted for Qualifyinf Candidates.
For UBSI Post: It comprises of 3 papers such as
Maths ( 50 Marks in 30 Mins duration),
GK ( Awareness about Meghalaya for 100 Marks)
General English ( 150 Marks in 90 Mins)
Total : 300 Marks in 60 Mins
For ABSI Post: It also Comprises of 3 Papers such as
English – 55 marks in 90 Mins
Maths & Science – 40 Marks in 45 Mins
GK based on Meghalaya – 55 Marks
Total – 150 Marks in 60 Mins
For UB Constable Post & Others :
Its comprises of 3 Papers which as English, Arithmetic/Science and GK for 100Marks each. Total Marks : 300Marks
For AB Constable Post & Others :
It is OMR Based Questions with Multiple choice, which comprises of English ,Maths and GK in basic standards. Total 150 Marks.
For followers, there is no written test instead Trade test will be conducted.
The Total Marks for Recruitement Process are given even in category wise too as follows, For UB SI- 450 marks , For AB SI – 450 Marks , UB Category – 450 Marks, AB Category – 450 marks ,Followers -450 Marks
There is also Bonus of 5 Marks for certain category of people.
