Educational Qualification :
1.Project Associate – I :
• M.Sc. Geology / Applied Geology
Desirable Qualification & Job Requirement :
• Experience of laboratory culturing of foraminifera, processing of marine sediments and picking of foraminifera .The selected candidate has to participate in cruise, process marine sediments and pick microfossils.
2. Project Associate – I :
• M.Sc. Environmental Science
Desirable Qualification & Job Requirement :
• Working knowledge of Multiband Eco-sounder for generating 2D/3D maps GIS analysis. Background of Geology. Sediment analysis for geological parameters and its interpretation with analysis of multi-beam data.
3. Project Associate – I :
• M.Sc in Geology / Applied Geology / Marine Science (Specialization: Geology) / Earth Science / Marine Geology
Desirable Qualification & Job Requirement :
• Experience of working in petrology/geochemistry/ paleomagetism/sedimentology related research problems. To participate in cruises for samples collection and analyses, database and report preparation. To assist scientists in project activities as per requirements. Selected candidate should have interest to work in petrology, geochemistry, paleo magnetism, sedimentology. Selected candidate will have to analyse rocks and sediments for trace elements and isotopic analyses, paleomagnetism related measurements Participation in oceanographic cruises is mandatory. The candidate is required to have a valid Passport.
4. Project Assistant :
• B.Sc Geology
Desirable Qualification & Job Requirement :
• Knowledge of magnetism and magnetic minerals .The candidate is required to work and assist the scientists in carrying out magnetic measurement on marine sediment core samples. The candidate is required to participate in ship cruises for geological/ geophysical investigations.
5. Project Assistant :
• B.Sc Geology / Chemistry
Desirable Qualification & Job Requirement :
• Experience in processing of marine sediments and picking of foraminifera .The candidate has to participate on cruises, process sediment samples, assist in chemical analysis and picking of foraminifera.
6. Project Associate-I :
• M.Sc Geology / Applied Geology
Desirable Qualification & Job Requirement :
• Candidate should have a fair knowledge of sediment processing and picking of microfossils. Candidate will be required to work with sediment samples, processing and picking of microfossils. Candidate is also required to participate in cruises for sample collection.
7. Project Associate-I :
• M.Sc Marine Sciences (specialization in Marine Chemistry) / Analytical Chemistry/ Inorganic Chemistry / Oceanography (with Chemical Oceanography Specialisation) / Hydrochemistry
Desirable Qualification & Job :
• Experience in handling analytical instruments, cruise/ field participation and knowledge of commonly used computer applications .Field work and cruise participation, sample analysis and data processing.
8. Project Associate-I :
• M.Sc Bioinformatics
Desirable Qualification & Job Requirement :
• Work experience to study the stress response in plants and microbes based on molecular docking and in silicon analysis. To study the stress response in mangroves and associated microbes based on molecular docking and in silicon analysis.
9. Project Associate-I :
• M.Sc. / M.Tech. in Microbiology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry
Desirable Qualification & Job Requirement :
• Research experience in microbial isolation and identification using molecular tools, fermentation of microbes as well as extraction and purification of bioactive metabolites using chromatographic techniques. The candidates with prior experience in the above fields will be preferred .The candidate must be an excellent team worker who would be expected to perform the laboratory as well as field research experiments, maintain accurate data, perform critical data analyses, prepare/make presentations etc. The specific assignments may include but would not be restricted to participation in ocean cruises and field sample collection.
10. Project Associate-I :
• M.Sc. Organic Chemistry / Analytical Chemistry Desirable Qualification & Job Requirement Experience in analysis of natural Products, Knowledge of spectroscopy & chromatographic techniques and handling of analytical instruments (HPLC, FTIR, UV-Visible Spectroscopy etc). Preparation of extracts and purification of metabolites from marine organisms, maintaining marine metabolite library, natural product analysis. Field collection of marine samples and data analysis
