Eligibility Criteria: Candidates who wish to apply for the Assistant Executive (Operations) and Assistant Commercial Executive (Electrical) posts at NTPC Limited must meet the following eligibility criteria:
Assistant Executive (Operations) –
Qualification: Degree in Electrical/Mechanical engineering from a recognized University/Institution.
Experience Profile: Minimum 2 years’ post qualification experience in Operation / Maintenance of power plant with installed capacity of 100 MW or more.
Tenure of Engagement: 03 Years (can be further extended upto 02 years)
Note: Candidate will be required to work in shifts, including night shift. Management reserves the right to post in suitable function as per requirement.
Assistant Commercial Executive (Electrical) –
Qualification: Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University/ Institution. Candidate must have appeared & qualified in Graduate Aptitude test in Engineering (GATE) – 2022. Candidate shall be shortlisted for document verification based on GATE-2022 performance, from amongst the candidates who apply against this vacancy in NTPC. Corresponding GATE-2022 Paper Code : EE
Tenure of Engagement: 02 Years (can be further extended up to 01 year)
Age Limit: The maximum age limit for the Assistant Executive (Operations) and Assistant Commercial Executive (Electrical) is 35 years. Candidates Relaxation in Upper Age limit will be provided as per Govt. Rules.
Salary: The pay scale for the Assistant Executive (Operations) and Assistant Commercial Executive (Electrical) posts is as monthly Consolidated Amount Rs. 55000/-. Additionally, HRA/Company Accommodation and medical facility for self, spouse and two children.
Selection Process: In order to restrict the number of candidates for further selection process, if so required, the Management reserves the right to conduct online screening/ shortlisting/selection test/interview or to raise the minimum eligibility standards/ criteria, as per requirement. In case of screening test, the final selection shall be on the basis of 85% weightage of online test marks and 15% weightage of interview marks.

Payment in offline mode: State Bank of India has been authorized to collect the registration fee, in a specially opened account (A/C No. 30987919993) at CAG Branch, New Delhi (Code: 09996), on behalf of NTPC. Candidate has to approach the nearby SBI branch with a printout of the “pay-in-slip” which is available on the application registration portal. The pay-in-slip printed from the portal should only be used for depositing the fee for proper crediting of amount in the allocated account. On receipt of the money, the bank will issue a unique Journal Number and a Branch Code of the bank collecting the money. This journal number and the branch code are to be filled up by the candidate during online registration. NTPC will not be responsible, in case a candidate deposits the fee in wrong account.
Payment in online mode: Candidates also have the option to pay the fees online (through Net banking / Debit Card (Rupay debit cards Only) / Credit Card). The online payment option will be available on the website. The candidate is required to make the payment before proceeding for online application. After making successful payment, the Challan number, Bank Reference No., date of payment etc., are required to be filled up in the online application.
