Eligibility Criteria: Candidates who wish to apply for the Assistant Manager (Electrical Erection), Assistant Manager (Mechanical Erection), and Assistant Manager (Civil Construction) posts must meet the following eligibility criteria:

Assistant Manager (Electrical Erection) –

Qualification: B.E/B. Tech Degree in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics with at least 60% marks from a recognized University/Institution.

Experience Profile: Minimum 07 years of post-qualification executive experience in electrical equipment erection / commissioning. Preference will be given to candidates having experience in the area of 132 kV & above switchyards / substation works, LT / MV/ HT Switchgears, Power transformers

Assistant Manager (Mechanical Erection) –

Qualification: B.E/B. Tech Degree in Mechanical/Production with at least 60% marks from a recognized University/Institution.

Experience Profile: Minimum 07 years of post-qualification executive experience in the area of equipment erection / mechanical erection / structural steel erection work in thermal power project. Preference will be given to candidates having experience in the area of Pressure parts erection, Heavy equipment installations, material handling systems, Steam Turbine & Generator erection

Assistant Manager (Civil Construction) –

Qualification: B.E/B. Tech Degree in Civil/Construction with at least 60% marks from a recognized University/Institution.

Experience Profile: Minimum 07 years of post-qualification executive experience in civil construction in thermal / hydro power project. Preference will be given to candidates having experience in the area of General Civil works of power plant, Tall Structure (chimney / natural draft cooling towers), Deep Excavation works: Wagon tippler / track hopper / Cooling Water Pump House. Experience Requirement (For all posts): Minimum 07 years of post-qualification experience (excluding training period, if any) in the executive cadre in the relevant area in a Govt./Public Sector Undertaking or Private company of repute, out of which minimum 03 years’ experience in the post and scale of 50000 – 160000 or above (IDA pay scale of E2 grade or above of NTPC effective from 01.01.2017) or equivalent level/post profile.

Age Limit: The Age limit for the Assistant Manager (Electrical Erection,Mechanical Erection and Civil Construction) is 35 years. The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules. Candidates Relaxation in Upper Age limit will be provided as per Govt. Rules.

Salary: Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of E3 Grade/ IDA (60000 -180000). In addition to the basic pay, candidates will also be entitled to various allowances such as Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Medical Facilities, and other benefits as per company rules.

Selection Process: The selection process for the Assistant Manager (Electrical Erection), Assistant Manager (Mechanical Erection), and Assistant Manager (Civil Construction) posts will be based on a Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by an Interview. The CBT will be conducted in various centers across the country. Candidates who qualify in the CBT will be called for the Interview.

Application Fee:

• Candidate belonging to General/EWS/OBC category is required to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs.300/-. The SC/ST/PwBD/XSM category & female candidates need not pay the application fee.
• Payment in offline mode: State Bank of India has been authorized to collect the application fee, in a specially opened account (A/C No. 30987919993) at CAG branch, New Delhi (Code: 09996), on behalf of NTPC. Candidate has to approach the nearby SBI branch with a printout of the “pay-in-slip” which is available on the application/registration portal.
• The pay-in-slip printed from the portal should only be used for depositing the fee for proper crediting of amount in the allocated account. On receipt of the money, the bank will issue a unique Journal Number and a Branch Code of the bank collecting the money. This journal number and the branch code are to be filled up by the candidate during online application. NTPC will not be responsible, in case a candidate deposits the fee in wrong account.
• Payment in online mode: Candidates also have the option to pay the fees online (through Net banking / Debit Card (Rupay Card) / Credit Card). The online payment option will be available in the online application form.
