Age Limit (As on 10.11.2023) : The upper age limit is 28 years as of 10th November 2023. The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules. Candidates Relaxation in Upper Age limit will be provided as per Govt. Rules.
Salary and Pay Scale: Engineer Trainees at POWERGRID will receive a competitive compensation package. During the training period, they will receive a stipend of Rs. 60,000 per month. Upon successful completion of training, they will be absorbed as Engineers with a pay scale of Rs. 60,000 – 1,80,000.

Selection Process: The selection process for POWERGRID Engineer Trainee Recruitment 2023 consists of the following stages:
- The Selection Process consists of normalized marks obtained (out of 100) in the corresponding paper of GATE 2023, Behavioral Assessment, Group Discussion & Personal Interview.
- Eligible candidates should have qualified and secured a valid score in the corresponding paper of GATE 2023.
- Candidates shall be short-listed for Behavioral Assessment, Group Discussion & Personal Interview based on their normalized Marks out of 100 in the corresponding paper of GATE-2023 only and as per the criteria decided by the Management.
- Candidates shall have the option for appearing the GD/ interview in Hindi or English. Candidates shall obtain information about their status through their login at the POWERGRID Online Application System. Shortlisted candidates shall be able to download their interview call letter and other relevant documents through the candidate login.
