Directorate of Health & Family welfare of Government of Punjab has released notification regarding the walk-in interview for the Recruitment of Medical officers (specialist) for various health institutions/ offices. The specialties are Anesthesia, ENT, General Surgery, Gynecology, Medicine, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Radiology, Skin &VD, TB & Chest. The details of eligibility criteria, scale of pay, educational qualification, age limit are given below. DHFW Medical Officer Eligibility
DHFW Medical Officer Educational Qualification
Candidates must have completed their M.B.B.S. Degree and Post Graduate degree in specialty listed for the recruitment. The degree and post graduate degree courses must from a recognized University/ Board. Registration with the Punjab Medical Council or with any other duly constituted Medical Council in India is mandatory to apply for the Directorate of Health & Family Welfare (DHFW) Medical Officer (Specialties) vacancies. Candidates need to have the knowledge of punjabi language upto Marticulation standard. Candidates who do not possess the knowledge of Punjabi language, candidates have to acquire it within six months of the appointment.
DHFW Medical Officer age limit
As on 1st January 2016, candidates should be between 18 and 37 years. Age relaxation is applicable to SC/BC (5 years) candidates, Physically Handicapped (10 years) candidates and Ex-Servicemen Category (refer notification).
DHFW Medical officer Pay scale
The pay scale for Directorate of Health & Family Welfare (DHFW) Medical Officer is Rs. 15600 – Rs. 39100 + Rs. 5400 G.P + NPA + Admissible PG Allowance.
DHFW Medical Officer Selection criteria
Candidates will be selected for the medical officer post only by interview only. Total mark is 100. Mark is awarded to the candidates based on the marks scored by the candidates in MBBS, MD/MS, Gold medalist, experience and national/international publication.

3) Candidates must bring their original certificates, prescribed filled application form along with self-attested photocopies of documents, two passport size photographs at the time of interview.
