PS TET I II Examination Pattern

Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test examination which consist of two papers and both the paper consist of 150 Marks with 150 questions each. Time duration for each of the paper exam is of 90 Minutes.

The Examination conducted through online in which paper I consist of multiple choice questions. Language I (Punjabi), Child Development and Pedagogy, Language II English, Environmental studies and mathematics with each category of 30 Marks for the total of 150 Marks . Each question will be of 1 marks and there will be no negative marking.

Paper II consist of Language I of Punjabi , Child development and Pedagogy, Language II of English with each of category for 30 Marks.

(A) For Mathematics and Science Teacher, Mathematics and Science.

(B) For Social Studies and Science Teacher Social Science.

For any other Teacher post-Either (A) or (B) for 60 Marks in Paper II.

Paper I

Paper I will be for Candidates who intend to be a teaching professional to students of Classes I to V.

Child Development and Pedagogy – This is the test which focus on psychology of teaching and learning relevant to the students whose age is from 6 to 11 years. It helps to improve their interaction with the students by understanding their characteristics and needs.

Language IIt is the regional language. As Punjabi is the regional language. Questions related to the language studies which they have learned in schooling.

Language IIIt focus the test the knowledge of candidate on elements of National level speaking language English which test their comprehension and communication abilities.

Mathematics and Environment Studies-It test the ability of the candidates in respective field and the questions will be based on basic Mathematics and environmental studies which is of primary level.

Paper II

Paper II will be for a Candidates who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.

Child Development and Pedagogy will focus on educational psychology of teaching and learning, relevant to the age group of 11-14 years.

Language I and II is same as on Paper I. Subjects which choose as per the category as A, B or both. The standard of the question will be of higher secondary level.

TET Qualifying Marks

Qualifying Marks is the marginal tool for to shortlist the candidates in the written examination. As it was fixed by the Punjab School Examination Board basis on the total No of Seats, No of candidates appeared for the examination and difficulty of the examination. As this Teacher Huge number of candidates who have appeared for each time this examination is conducted Qualifying Marks is given as 90 Marks out of 150 Marks which is 60 Percentage for General Category and 82 Marks out of 150 Marks which is 55 Percentage for Reserved category. TET marks only give the weight age to the recruitment process, this mark alone will not eligible for appointment.

Steps if Admit Card Not Successfully Download

If any of the candidate failed to receive the admit card within the given time before examination should contact the officials of educational board. In case no communication from the candidate regarding non-receipt of admit card before the examination, Candidate themselves will be solely responsible for non-receipt of their e-admit card and will not allowed for the examination.
