Eligibility Criteria: The eligibility criteria for the RBI Officers in Grade ‘B’ Posts are as follows:

Age Limit: A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on May 01, 2023 i.e., he/she must have been born not earlier than May 02, 1993 and not later than May 01, 2002. The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules. Candidates Relaxation in Upper Age limit will be provided as per Government Rules.

Educational Qualification: The educational qualification varies according to the posts:

For RBI Officers in Grade ‘B’(DR)- General Post: The candidate should have a minimum of 60% marks in the Bachelor’s degree as well as in 12th and 10th Standard examinations.

For RBI Officers in Grade ‘B’(DR)- DEPR Post: The candidate should have a Master’s Degree in Economics / Econometrics / Quantitative Economics / Mathematical Economics / Integrated Economics Course/ Finance, with a minimum of 55% marks.

For RBI Officers in Grade ‘B’(DR)- DSIM Post: The candidate should have a Master’s Degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Mathematical Economics/Econometrics/Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Kharagpur/Applied Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Bombay with a minimum of 55% marks.

Salary Details: Selected Candidates will draw a starting basic pay of ₹55,200/-p.m. in the pay scale of ₹55200-2850(9)-80850-EB-2850 (2) – 86550-3300(4)-99750 (16 years) applicable to Officers in Grade B and they will also be eligible for Special Allowance, Grade Allowance, Dearness Allowance, Local Compensatory Allowance, Special Grade Allowance, Learning Allowance, House Rent Allowance as per rules in force from time to time. At present, initial monthly gross emoluments (without HRA) are Rs. 1,16,914/- (approximately) The House Rent Allowance of 15% of Basic Pay will be paid, if accommodation is not provided by the Bank.

Selection Process: The selection process for the RBI Officers in Grade ‘B’ Posts includes three phases:
