SAMEER Scientist Recruitment 2023 21 Vacancies: SAMEER (Society for Applied Microwave Electronics Engineering and Research) is an autonomous research and development institute under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India. SAMEER specializes in the areas of microwave engineering, electromagnetic engineering, and RF and microwave communication engineering.
SAMEER has announced a recruitment notification for the post of Scientist – B and Scientist – C for the year 2023. The recruitment notification has been published on the official website of SAMEER @ www.sameer.gov.in. Eligibility Criteria: Candidates who are interested in applying for the post of Scientist – B and Scientist – C must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
For Scientist – B: Candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Electronics/ Electronics and Communication/ Electronics and Telecommunication/ Computer Science/ Information Technology or equivalent from a recognized University. Candidates should have a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in the qualifying degree. Candidates should have a valid GATE score.
For Scientist – C: Candidates should have a Master’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Electronics/ Electronics and Communication/ Electronics and Telecommunication/ Computer Science/ Information Technology or equivalent from a recognized University. Candidates should have a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in the qualifying degree. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience in R&D in Electronics/ Electronics and Communication/ Electronics and Telecommunication/ Computer Science/ Information Technology.
Age Limit: (As on 08.04.2023)
Scientist – B – 30 years
Scientist – C – 35 years
The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules. Candidates Relaxation in Upper Age limit will be provided as per Govt. Rules
Selection Process: The selection process for the recruitment of Scientist – B and Scientist – C will consist of a written test and an interview. Candidates who qualify in the written test will be called for an interview.
Salary: For Scientist – B, the pay scale will be Rs. 56,100 – 1,77,500/- (Level-10), and for Scientist – C, the pay scale will be Rs. 67,700 – 2,08,700/- (Level-11). In addition to the pay scale, candidates will also be eligible for various allowances as per the rules of the government.
