Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible for the Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ posts at SDSC SHAR, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Educational Qualification:
| 1. Polymer Science & Engineering/ Rubber Technology – M.E/M.Tech or equivalent Post Graduate Degree in Polymer Science & Engineering/Rubber Technology with an aggregate minimum of 60% or CGPA/CPI grading of 6.5 on a 10 point scale with pre-eligibility qualification of B.E/ B.Tech or equivalent qualification in Chemical Engineering with an aggregate minimum of 65% marks (Average of all semesters) or CGPA/CPI grading of 6.84 on a 10 point scale. Minimum 65% marks or CGPA 6.84 in Section B alone for candidates with AMIE. |

Electrical Engineering/ Electrical and Electronics Engineering – B.E/ B.Tech or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering/Electrical & Electronics Engineering with an aggregate minimum of 65% marks (Average of all semesters) or CGPA/CPI grading of 6.84 on a 10 point scale. Age Limit: The maximum age limit for this recruitment is 30 years as of the last date for submission of the online application (03.11.2023). The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules. Candidates Relaxation in Upper Age limit will be provided as per Govt. Rules.
Salary: Selected candidates will be appointed as Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ and will be eligible for a Level 10 pay scale of Rs.56,100-Rs.1,77,500/- as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) pay matrix. In addition to the basic pay, they will be entitled to various allowances and benefits as per government rules.
Selection Process: The selection process for the SDSC SHAR Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ recruitment will consist of the following stages:
Written Test: An initial written test will be conducted to shortlist candidates based on their academic qualifications and experience. The written test will assess the candidates’ knowledge in the relevant engineering discipline.
Interview: Shortlisted candidates from the written test will be invited for an interview, where their skills, knowledge, and expertise will be evaluated by a panel of experts.
Final Selection: The final selection will be based on the combined performance of the candidates in the written test and the interview.
The mode of selection will be Written Test and Interview. The Written Test will be conducted in such a way that theoretical and practical knowledge of the candidate is tested covering both the breadth and depth of the prescribed curriculum. Based on the performance in the Written Test, candidates will be shortlisted for Interview, generally in 1:5 ratio with a minimum of 10 candidates to the category-wise number of vacancies. For generation of the final panel, 50% weightage shall be given to written test marks and 50%.

| Processing fee may be paid online through Debit Card/Internet Banking. If the candidate could not make the payment of fee due to transaction failure or otherwise within the due date/time, he/she can pay the fee upto the next day of closure of on-line application registration (i.e., 1700 Hrs on 04.11.2023) by clicking ‘Make payment’ option available in the on-line recruitment portal. |
