Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized University / Institute
Desirable Experience – Two years post qualification experience as an Advocate (including as an associate in an Advocate’s or Solicitor’s Office or Law firm) after being enrolled under the Advocates Act, 1961 (25 of 1961) shall be a desirable qualification.
Age Limit (As on 31.05.2023): A candidate must not have exceeded the age of 30 years as on May 31, 2023 i.e., candidate must have been born on or after June 01, 1993.The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules. Candidates Relaxation in Upper Age limit will be provided as per Govt. Rules.
Selection Process: The selection process for the SEBI Officer Grade A (AM) – Legal Stream Recruitment 2023 consists of three stages:Mode of selection shall be a three stage process i.e. Phase I (on-line screening examination consisting of two papers of 100 marks each), Phase II (on-line examination consisting of two papers of 100 marks each) and Phase III (Interview).
Phase I – Online Examination: This examination will consist of multiple-choice questions on various subjects such as General Awareness, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, and Professional Knowledge.
Phase II – Online Examination: This examination will consist of multiple-choice questions on various subjects related to the legal stream, including Constitution of India, Securities Laws, Corporate Laws, etc. It also includes a descriptive English test.
Phase III – Interview: Candidates who qualify in the Phase II examination will be shortlisted for an interview. The interview will assess the candidate’s knowledge,skills, and suitability for the position.
Salary and Benefits: Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Rs. 28150-1550(4)-34350-1750(7)-46600-EB-1750(4)-53600-2000(1)-55600 (17 years). The gross monthly emoluments will be approximately Rs. 1,07,000. In addition to the salary, officers are entitled to various allowances and benefits as per the rules of SEBI.
