  3. Educational Qualification: The candidate must possess a minimum educational qualification of a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institution.
  4. Physical Standards: The candidate must meet the prescribed physical standards as per the TNUSRB guidelines. The details of the physical standards are as follows:a. Height: For Men: Minimum of 170 cm, For Women: Minimum of 159 cm b. Chest: For Men: Minimum of 81 cm with a minimum expansion of 5 cm, For Women: Not Applicable c. Weight: For Men and Women: In proportion to the height and age as per the medical standards.
  5. Medical Standards: The candidate must meet the prescribed medical standards as per the TNUSRB guidelines. The details of the medical standards are as follows:a. The candidate must not have any physical defects or deformities that may interfere with the efficient performance of police duties. b. The candidate must have a sound mental and physical health. c. The candidate must not have any contagious disease or any chronic illness that may interfere with the efficient performance of police duties.
  6. Language: The candidate must have studied Tamil as a subject in SSLC or HSC or possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Tamil.
  7. Character and Antecedents: The candidate must possess good moral character and should not have any criminal antecedents.
  8. Driving License: The candidate must possess a valid driving license for driving two-wheelers and four-wheelers.
  9. Physical Efficiency Test (PET): The candidate must qualify in the PET conducted by the TNUSRB.
