- Forest Guard: Higher Secondary Course Pass (12th pass) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Zoology or Botany as one of the subjects.
- Forest Watcher: Passed SSLC Public Examination or its equivalent with eligibility for admission to Higher Secondary Courses of Studies (or) to College Courses of studies.
- Forester: Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering from any University recognized by the University Grants Commission.
- FG with Driving Licence: Higher Secondary Course (Plus Two) Pass with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Zoology or Botany as one of the subjects.
- A valid Driving licence issued by the competent Transport Authority.
- A Certificate from a reputed firm or company mentioning that the candidate possesses experience in the driving of Light motor vehicles OR Heavy Motor Vehicles for not less than 03 (three) years after getting the driving licence.
- Basic knowledge about the general mechanism of automobiles.
- First aid certificate issued by the recognized organization in Tamil Nadu.

Exam Pattern For TNFUSRC Forester & Forest Guard
TNFUSRC Forester Exam Pattern: The TNFUSRC Forester examination scheme is mentioned here. Candidates can check the pattern given in the table below. The medium of the question paper shall be bilingual (Both English & Tamil). The exam consists of 2 papers of 100 marks each. The duration of both papers is 3 hours.
