TNPSC Physical Education Officer Exam Date 2023: Important Dates and Schedule

The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has announced the exam date for the Physical Education Officer (PEO) recruitment 2023. The exam is scheduled to take place on 21st May 2023. The commission has also released the important dates and schedule for the exam. Schedule:

The TNPSC PEO exam will be conducted in two sessions – morning and afternoon. The morning session will be held from 10 AM to 1 PM, while the afternoon session will be held from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. The total duration of the exam will be 6 hours.

The exam will consist of two papers – Paper I and Paper II. Paper I will be conducted in the morning session and Paper II in the afternoon session. Paper I will be a written exam consisting of 200 multiple choice questions (MCQs), while Paper II will be a physical efficiency test (PET).

Paper I will consist of questions on topics such as Anatomy, Physiology, Kinesiology, Health Education, First Aid, Yoga, and Sports Psychology. Each question will carry one mark, and there will be no negative marking for wrong answers.

Paper II will consist of physical efficiency tests such as 100 meters run, 800 meters run, Long Jump, High Jump, and Shot put. Candidates will be required to clear the minimum standards for each test to be considered qualified. The PET will be conducted under the supervision of a physical education expert.

Candidates who qualify both Paper I and Paper II will be called for an interview. The interview will be conducted for 70 marks, and the final selection will be based on the candidate’s performance in the written exam and interview.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Age Limit: The minimum age limit is 18 years and the maximum age limit is 30 years. Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms.
