Age Limit: Applicants must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years on the 1st of August, 2024 i.e., the candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.08 1992 and not later than 01.08 2003.

Relaxation of Upper age limit:

For SC/ ST Candidates – 5 years
For OBC Candidates – 3 years
For PwBD (Gen/ EWS) Candidates – 10 years
For PwBD (SC/ ST) Candidates – 15 years
For PwBD (OBC) Candidates – 13 years

Applicants Relaxation in Upper Age limit will be provided as per Govt. Norms.

Number of attempts: Every Applicants appearing at the Exam, who is otherwise eligible, shall be permitted six (6) attempts at the CSE. However, relaxation in the number of attempts will be available to the SC/ST/OBC/PwBD category Applicants who are otherwise eligible. The number of attempts available to such Applicants as per relaxation is as under:

  • For SC/ ST Candidates – Unlimited
  • For OBC Candidates – 09 years
  • For GL/EWS/OBC Unlimited for SC/ST Candidates – 09 years

Nationality: The candidate must be a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal, Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Salary and Allowances: Selected candidates for the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2024 will be appointed to various services with different pay scales. The salary structure includes basic pay, allowances, and other benefits as per the rules of the government.
