Eligibility Criteria: Candidates interested in applying for these positions should meet the following eligibility criteria:

Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (Cardiology) –  A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfil the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). (ii) Post-graduate degree in the concerned Specialty or Super-specialty mentioned in Section-A of Schedule VI from recognized Teaching Institute i.e., Doctorate of Medicine (Cardiology); or Diplomate National Board (Cardiology).

Experience: Three years’ teaching experience as Senior Resident or Tutor or Demonstrator or Registrar or Assistant Professor or Lecturer in the concerned Speciality or Super-speciality in a recognized teaching institution after obtaining the first Post-graduate degree.

Assistant Director Census Operations (Technical) – Master’s Degree in Statistics or Operational Research or Population Sciences or Demography or Mathematical Statistics or Applied Statistics from a recognized University or Institute.

Deputy Director(Plg./Stat.) – Post Graduate Degree in Statistics/Operational Research/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics or Post Graduate Degree in Economics/Mathematics/Commerce (with Statistics/ Quantitative Method/Techniques or Costing & Statistics/Basic Statistics/Business Statistics/Introduction to Statistics etc. as one of the subject/papers in Post Graduation/Graduation level) of a recognized University.

Experience: Five years’ experience of Statistical Planning work investigation/Research in a recognized Institute or Department. Doctorate Degree in any one of the subjects mentioned in EQ (A) from a recognized University

Assistant Professor (Botany) – (A) (i) Master’s Degree (Botany) with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in the concerned/ relevant/allied subject from a recognized University/ Institute. (ii) Must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) (Life Science) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR or a similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET (State level eligibility test) OR who are OR have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree (Botany) in accordance with the UGC (Minimum standards and procedure for award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET: Provided, the candidates registered for the Ph.D. programme prior to July 11,2009 shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing ordinances/Bye- Laws/Regulations of the Institutions awarding the Degree and such Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor in Universities/Colleges/Institutions subject to the fulfillment of the following conditions:- a) Ph.D Degree of the candidate has been awarded in regular mode; b) The Ph.D. thesis has been evaluated by at least two external examiners; c) An open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate has been conducted; d) The candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work out of which at least one must be in a refereed journal; e) The candidate has presented at least two papers based on his/her Ph.D work in conference/seminars, sponsored /funded/supported by the UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or any similar agency. Assistant Professor (Chemistry) – (A) (i) Master’s Degree (Chemistry) with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed) in the concerned/ relevant/allied subject from a recognized University/ Institute. Assistant Professor (Tamil) –(A) (i) Master’s Degree (Tamil) with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in the concerned/ relevant/allied subject from a recognized University/ Institute. (ii) Must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) (Tamil) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR or a similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET (State level eligibility test) OR who are OR have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree (Tamil) in accordance with the UGC (Minimum standards and procedure for award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET: Provided, the candidates registered for the Ph.D. programme prior to July 11,2009 shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing ordinances/Bye- Laws/Regulations of the Institutions awarding the Degree and such Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor in Universities/Colleges/Institutions subject to the fulfillment of the following conditions:- a) Ph.D Degree of the candidate has been awarded in regular mode; b) The Ph.D. thesis has been evaluated by at least two external examiners; c) An open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate has been conducted; d) The candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work out of which at least one must be in a refereed journal; e) The candidate has presented at least two papers based on his/her Ph.D work in conference/seminars, sponsored /funded/supported by the UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or any similar agency. Age Limit: The age limit for candidates varies depending on the position applied from 35 to 40 years. The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules.
